Well, open a support ticket a Guild Wars.com so they can start you down the path of identifying a possible hardware issue.
My best guess right now: a video related issue, perhaps triggered by the cutscene video.
There are some things to eliminate first: (Support will probably ask you to do most of these things)
-Fully updated game via "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
-Updated stable video card drivers check
-DirectX update check
-Sound Drivers and Guild Wars sound settings check
-Defragment GW.DAT
-Identifying possible resource issues, background, 3rd party programs, etc.
